About
There's a parable about a wild duck attributed to 19th century philosopher and theologian Søren Kierkegaard. It’s a cautionary tale about losing one’s core nature, authenticity, and potential due to being “tamed” by the crowd.
As a person on a non-linear creative career path, I’m well acquainted with how the world tries to tame me. It’s not just the world… at times my own mind has turned against me! It serves me “You should…” thoughts as if to really say “How you naturally are is not okay.”
I started to wonder if how I naturally show up isn't a problem to fix.
The more I sat with that, the more I got curious to understand my own patterns so I could work with my creative energy instead of against it.
Before I knew it, Wild Ducks was born. It became a way for me to make sense of my own unconventional path and where I’m heading next.
